HP Update after a long time

Here is an update on HP after a long time.

A lot has changed since my last post:
http://bloginfomanage.blogspot.com/2010/05/hp-and-buying-spree-and-some-more.html

HP is broken up into multiple companies now:

  • HPE
  • HP (Hewlett Packard) - that just sells printers, pcs and mobile phones (Yes, HP still makes mobile phones and they run Windows).

HPE has sold its software business to MicroFocus.
HPE has sold its software consulting business which merged with CSC to create a new company called as DXC.Technology.

I had recommended HP to buy Sybase, but that got acquired by SAP.
I had also recommended HP to by Jboss/Redhat - which has kept acquiring other solutions to become a bigger software group.
